Location
Hotel Alexandra
Our position is unique and strategic.
With the Bernini fountain right behind us, centuries old plane trees gently climb along the street, accompanying the history of Via Veneto.
Continuing the walk, we caress the bees of Bernini's fountain that has been created in honour of the Barberini family, the Church of Santa Maria Immacolata Steps, with the famous Capuchin crypt decorated with the bones of monks. The baroque masterpieces by Guido Reni, St. George and the Dragon, Domenichino and a "recent" Caravaggio.
As you wander around Rome’s streets, let yourself be slept away by its wonderful mixture of art, culture and nature. Some of the world’s most famous are within easy reach as the Trevi Fountain, or Via Sistina behind the hotel, to go to the Spanish Steps and the most exclusive shopping streets.
In five minutes you will arrive at Villa Borghese, to relax and enjoy a bit of nature: a boat ride on the villa's pond, with its typical water clock, will definitely remain in your memory. If you love the big screen, do not miss the Casa del Cinema, but, if you prefer pictorial art, Galleria Borghese will leave you breathless!
Finally, near the Hotel Alexandra there is the Policlinico Umberto I, numerous offices of Embassies, Consulates, Ministries and the LUISS University.
